I finally heard from our friendly neighborhood CPS worker. She was very friendly. Very sweet.
She, they, The Powers That Be, have decided that Youngest may in fact need residential care. He isn’t doing all that well in his current placement. She, they, The Powers That Be are offering to pay for this treatment. But,in order for them to do so, they need to take permanent conservatorship.
As of next Monday.
After all, I was told, it is just one letter that changes. The ‘t’ in temporary becomes the ‘p’ in permanent. I wouldn’t have to worry about him being shifted from home to home either. They know there are RTC’s that will take him-even if his level drops to moderate. We can even still remain involved if we wish. He will continue to carry our name so,you see, it isn’t really relinquishment.
Please feel free to call the ad litem if we have any questions.
Do we really appear this stupid?????????
I do not think so.
I hate being played for a fool.
My husband talked at length with the foster dad tonight. He (FD) thinks Youngest is stabilizing and is not in favor of him being sent to an RTC at this point. He thinks Youngest just needs to come home. Youngest tells him often how badly he wants to come home. He tells us he wants to come home.
In spite of everything,we too think he deserves the chance to return home.
I cannot promise he will make it at home. His problems are deep seated.
I can promise we will do our damnedest to give him the opportunity to make it.
Prayer,as always is desperately needed.
